Kim Kremer grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa. She taught for five years in Thailand, Iowa City, and New Yorks Lower East Side before making her way to photography as a staff photographer and photo editor at Times Ledger Newspapers in Queens, New York. In May she graduated with an MFA from the International Center of Photography-Bard in New York. Recently she installed mural size photographs on the boarded up windows of an abandoned building in her hometown, and started teaching photography to sixth-graders in Jackson Heights, Queens.
